The National Conference of Catholic Bishops have issued a clear and strong statement regarding the value of and need for Catholic schools. The position paper is entltiled Renewing Our Commitment to Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools in the Third Millennium. In it, the bishops focus on the the belief that Catholic schools are the most effective means of fostering the faith of our young and preparing them spiritually and academically to be a positive force in our church and society.
At the Catholic Academy, we are affirmed, encouraged and challenged by the words of the bishops. Our dedicated Pastors, Board members, Teachers, Staff and Parents have a common goal; the pursuit of excellence for the sake of our children. By working together, we aim to educate our students to be all they can be in mind and body and spirit. With grace from God and hope for the future, we enthusiastically embrace this awesome responsibility.
Our diverse population and caring faculty and staff, make our school a place where respect and acceptance free children to learn and prosper in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Come and visit us and see character, compassion and values enhance academic excellence
Sincerely,
Sister Gail Glenn, SSJ
